  • About

The Our Space Award (OSA) aims to help Londoners clean and green the city through active community engagement and participation, increasing a sense of community ownership over shared spaces. It supports Londoners of all ages and backgrounds, communities and schools in greening their neighbourhoods, making them inclusive places for all to enjoy.

We believe that increasing the number, size, and quality of local green spaces across the capital not only contributes to mitigating the effects of climate change while improving the quality of life for Londoners. Mobilising and enabling communities and residents to create and maintain those spaces is one of the best sustainable ways forward.

Since March 2018, OSA has funded 67 local projects, improving over 24,800m2 of land. We now need additional funding to be able to support more communities across London in the years ahead.

Community projects can apply for grants between £500 and £20,000.

By donating to the scheme, you'll contribute to empowering a greater number of groups to revitalise neglected parkland, boost diversity in tarmacked areas, and build more resilient green spaces.

Our target of £5,000 could help to support:

  • Three small projects run by neighbourhood gardening groups to increase the biodiversity on their street or local park.
  • Or one larger project in a school to create educational outdoor spaces teaching children about climate change and healthy eating.

Every donation matters. Thank you for enabling communities to make the places they live greener.
